8-14… Hey BLM! it’s foaling season!

Tired… will edit video tomorrow.

Just don’t feel right unless I get you all at least something each day.

So we are going to do ridiculous statement of the day…

Ken Miller “The horses aren’t even sweating.” And then “it’s not foaling season.”

OK… two ridiculous statements… but there were so many I lost count.

Not foal?

pic taken today.

not sweat.... sprinkled with dust?

Yeah… I’m getting really tired of the rhetoric. If we can’t have honest dialogue based on truth…. hmmmmm…… thinking….

BEautiful baby!. I wonder how far it ran and how long. The responses are absurd.

Politely email Dean Bolstad and tell him all this must stop and please suspend the contract of Sun J. The Pilot is harming our horses with inexperience and abusive aggression.

  2. Mar Wargo says:

    dean _ bolstad @ blm . gov
Pull the email together with no gaps and you got it.. Can’t post emails for some reason.

  3. Barbara Warner says:

Laura, don’t even waste your breath trying to tell the idiots anything.

I called Amy L. and left a message on her phone. This needs to stop. We need people to get in their faces about this. These incidences keep adding up and no response from the BLM. Go to their FB page and of course they don’t say anything about this or the foals being thrown into the trailers. I let Ms. Amy know about that one too. Doubt I’ll get a call back.

The tweet on the first run went like this Saturday.

“Small band came in. No incident.”

Pilot started with at least 7 in the band.
      5 made vicinity of trap.
      tiny baby and mare lagged.
      3 went into trap.
      baby went behind ridge.
      Adult broke over hill.
baby missing for a long time.
Supposedly roped after next run… with two other horses…
      Loaded without observation.
      BLM stalled at trap.
      Unloaded without observation.
      10 horses total that day.
      3,3, and supposedly 4 roped.
But BLM couldn’t give an exact count.
!0 or less … and can’t give an exact count?

Hey BLM… hire me as your quality control officer…
      : )

they cannot let these babies lag behind and then go get lost by themselves. The pilot needs to slow the hell down to accommodate their speed. And what do you say when the BLM says such inane things like the horses aren’t even sweating?

  5. LynnIL says:

BLM tweet says small group all in safely. JERKS!!! Do they need glasses or what????

  6. Mar Wargo says:

Are they running out of horses already??? Will they say they have ‘this many’ and then take all of them when they can’t find all of them? Are they making releases right along?

    • Laura Leigh says:

WE sat at one of the only traps that Josh had at least one clean run… after leaving it because of lack of horses… because Heeler’s Aide was supposed to come.
It was a crafted day yesterday and today.

      I’m working on something..
      : )

  7. Louie Cocroft says:

Laura, same District Manager…the one from the Tuscarora Massacre….that called the Sheriff’s office in while you were trying to get help and information?

  8. Louie Cocroft says:

You really should show those videos again…for everyone who is new here. Everyone needs to get acquainted,

  9. LisaG. says:

I called Bolstad’s office today about the foal in holding that seems to have a rope around his neck. Ramona answered the phone. Said it wasn’t a rope and that it was something else. I asked her “what something, else.” She didn’t know and transferred me to Shepherd and I left a message with my phone number.

If I do get a call back, (which is unlikely) I’ll be sure to ask if those were actually skids on the copter that bumped that horse or maybe it just looked like skids and was really something else.

  10. Barbara Warner says:

Lisa, are you blind?. Of course those weren’t skids–they were just shadows like the rope !! I am being sarcastic of course.

  11. Mar Wargo says:

We are lucky that not all BLM employees lie. We have gotten much information from them. At least that is my experience. They are normally very helpful. There may be issues they are coached on but they are there to serve the public and people in regional offices tell you what they can. Our working relationship to these people needs to be positive. The people we most often encounter are NOT the decision makers but people doing a job the best they can. They have been very helpful. If they won’t be you find out quickly.
