Old fenceposts near the trap had barbed wire. An old trap was set really close to this... the old wood and barbed wire ones. The old trap was to the left of the current one.
Laura, what you have done with very little backing, is significant and ground breaking work… You have become an expert on many things BLM/wild horse and roundup specific. No one understands this better than you. Other attempts to tell this story have been complimentary and now there are new attempts that may be hurtful to this body of work you have put so much time into.
It may be that these other story tellers are not aware they have possibly jeopardized years of your work. And worst of all, maybe they do not care. They are not putting their information out there or the lawsuit. What I see is confusing and misleading and also inaccurate.
Storytellers are what they are…. simply story tellers.
Laura documents. She provides factual, accurately documented, truthful information with both visual and audio records to back up and support her documentation.
There is no story, this is the truth and it is unbelievable that this is what is actually happening. Unfortunately, it is real and unspeakably cruel, sad and completely unlawful from an administration promising hope and transparency.
It is shameful and despicable and yes, the truth in these plethora of repeated, planned, BLM strategies are the twilight zone and it is gravely disturbingly and vastly tumultuous, disruptive and life changing. There is no end in sight.
But, the documentation is real…. just think what it would be like for the horses if this reality were not being documented!

Jill, there is always a story and people do not all see the same things. There is an end in sight, I believe, and that is where we are all going!
How can they deny these pictures. Jake Beck tells me that there are 12 foals that were less than a month old when rounded up at Triple-B. (then he realized that he was saying something that he shouldn’t and quickly says, well maybe just 11 or less) They say that the round-ups are not held during foaling season.
I have now watched the video 3 times…and I still don’t get it. Did the BLM engage the local law enforcement to threaten to arrest you for driving on property that the BLM KNOWS is a public road???? This seems to be in direct opposition to what the Judge said in his orders. Do those orders still have jurisdiction in this location? If the answer to both questions is YES, the BLM must be in violation of the orders of the court, and using the local law enforcement to circumvent those orders.
At Owyhee the BLM went all out to thwart LL and two companions. It was all very illegal. Take your pick. There could have been some repercussions but our side doesn’t get perks like that.

The case is active and in the Ninth. It is repetitive conduct related, just like the Inhumane case.

do you have a picture of the barbed wire showing how close it was to the trap on the Ely side? (Where that little foal got hung up trying to follow the stallion?)
Yup. I’ll see if I can get one up that has the barbed wire clear… I know I have them that show the old posts. I think one of the BLM gals ripped her pants when we climbed over it on the way to the observation area…

You are not a story teller. You are a witness. You witness for our horses, and you witness for the American public. You are doing what the founding fathers envisioned the media would do which is to help prevent government corruption by showing how our government is doing the job we are paying them to do.
