Tomorrow morning there will be a vote in the State Legislature of Nevada on AB329. This legislation essentially redefines the terminology and denies horses water on public land.

The State Constitution of Nevada recognizes Federal Authority of policy of management on public land and the State gives over that authority clearly in the state Constitution.

Members of the Legislature, and all officers, executive, judicial and ministerial, shall, before they enter upon the duties of their respective offices, take and subscribe to the following oath:

Those continuing to propose these types of legislation fail to recognize Federal Authority and The State Constitution. The continued introduction of bills like this and SJR5 waste the time of the state Legislature and the public.
Perhjaps there is a bold state Legislator willing to ask that those that continue to waste time be held responsible through sanction or reprimand?
PLEASE do not be distracted by this and get those comments on the BLM strategy dovument sent in TODAY!

If the state establishes it does not want any wild horse sanctuaries then those attempting to start them will have an impossible time. This seems to be what they are attempting in Nevada several times over and are doing this to stop Madeleine and maybe even Soldiers Meadows… Are these grants that BLM was offering going to be honored but maybe not in Nevada?? Just wondering. mar

BILL AB329 IS THE MOST STUPID IDIOTIC PIECE OF WORK I HAVE EVER READ. NO MAN IN HIS RIGHT MIND WOULD CONTRIVE SUCH A BILL AND TO THINK THE STATE LEGISLATURE OF NEVADA WOULD PASS IT. WHY DON’T THEY SUBMIT A BILL STATING ALL MINEING COMPANIES SUCH AS GOLD, COAL, ETC. CAN NOT USE ANY OF NEVADAS’ WATER. A HORSE ONLY USES ABOUT 15 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY AND A GOLD MINE USES OVER 383 BILLION GALLONS OF WATER.
Everything is so convoluted…….It’s so hard to believe that this brutality is happening over and over and over…..If you knew nothing else…….why is it that you can stand on one end of the BLM perimeter….and as far as your eyes can see is never-ending…..isn’t it obvious that there are acres upon acres to support all animals, especially our horses ……..

I don’t know about anyone else but recently there has been a HUGE rash of bills all against the horses. Bills that want them not just rounded up, but sanctuaries in trouble if they fail to take a horse no matter how overloaded they are.
And now this. Please tell that beautiful mare and her foal that I don’t hate them. I think they are beautiful and I wish I had a way to help them.

This particular AB329 would not allow me to voice my opinion because I live in NY…..but I have voiced my opinion on the BLM Holocaust on other sites, where it did allow my zip code… to our senators along with a friend of mine, who has done the same…….The responses did not impress me and were not something I would deem as taking action on this horrible situation…..also I have voiced my opinion to Jane Valez, Brian Williams and a few others…..

This bill was ramroded through committee with no discussion by Sen Dean Rhoads, a rancher and cattleman. To deny any animal water in our desert climate is inhumane. They are trying to do anything they can to eliminate the horses so they can run more cattle. The BLM is issuing permits for cattle at $1.43 per month per animal. You can’t feed and water a dog or cat for that amount. They are killing off the horses and mooching off the taxpayers, all to raise cattle. It might be a good time to start a beef boycott.
