A Simple Quote and Pictures

I found a simple quote today that I thought I would share:

I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made.
Franklin D. Roosevelt

That said… here are some more pictures from Twin Peaks… video shortly.

Like the quote, sad pictures, how do they make sense of what has happened to them, how do WE make sense of it?

    • Laura Leigh says:

      By looking at the “why?”
At some level it will all make perfect sense… we are looking in the right places…
Keep looking at the Field Offices and the other activities out there besides horses and burros.

Our public lands are being horribly mismanaged… for profit.

      • morganlvr says:

        Yep.

      • Morgan Griffith says:

Since joining the fight for the horses I have learned to be 360 in my vision. To look not at what is in front of me and obvious but to go beyond that, to see what every project, those planned and those operational, to see what effect they will ultimately have on the horses. To combine projects and to see an over all trend. When you overlook even 5 degrees of range projects within that 5 degrees many horses will perish. Stay ever vigilante, stay focused and learn to look 10 steps ahead.

      • Laura Houston says:

I read somewhere the org or group that held those car races had their land use ‘permits’ suspended.

I also read somewhere that the permits had a crowd limit of 300? that I don’t remember for sure. There were thousands of people out there. what did the news reports say, 10,000 people and they also paid a entry fee about 10 dollars?

And I do remember on their website before it came down. Entry fees were 300-400 dollars. The course was 30 miles and there was more than one class for races.

all that money is just in one night as the races ran overnight out there. What other land use permits are there and is there a way to see all the permits issued for public land use?
seems kind of strange to me to let a group have a permit for a ‘low number’ of people and then tear-up a 30 miles path of desert land with races and thousands of people- (ruin that land forever really)

What other uses is the blm permiting the land for?

and by the way the pictures are very distressing. all the horses are banged up from the crazy tiny pens they cram the horses in. For gods sake its just panels and they are paid millions, bring 10 x the panels and get some padding. stop the And the trailers with pipes across the top for horses to bash heads on. God I hate seeing that kind of crazy stuff. The contractor transport of wild animals looks like a 3rd world country trucking their 5 dollar horses around. Those are American “cowboys”? no they aren’t at all.

where are the ‘real cowboys’? around the BLM? are there any left who see the wrongness of what they are doing?

That race wreck on public land made me wonder about the blm land use permits and who gets some of that 400,000?????? *a night* ‘entry fees’ ?
They aren’t permitting for dog fights and underground horse races and ‘hunts’ are they? is a guard supposed to monitor them?
sorry its so long, I am just wondering.

  2. Jane Bravery says:

Somehow, in the face of all this we must find a way to pull out some positive somewhere to counteract the stranglehold of negativity.
Some illusion is holding this reality in place, and we need to bust it!
Can I ask all of you who read this to go to the Radical Forgiveness website and complete the new Radical Forgiveness worksheet for all the above. It’s free, and it is radical. It helped me, and I understand the precept it is based on.
We need to work this at the very root….
    For the horses,

    Jane

  3. R.T. Fitch says:

Many times, I am embarrassed to be called a human. Today is one of those days.

    • jan eaker says:

RT, I just read IDA’s bulletin about how the govt is killing Canadian Geese; do humans have some innate sense of cruelty that we just have to find the MOST horrific ways of doing things as regards animals???? I am ashamed to be human.

    • Laura Houston says:

Ashamed of america too. Today I saw on the news Pres. Obama stopped in a store today to buy a few books for his daughters. They were out of reading materials. 3 books, one was John Steinbecks, “The Red Pony”.

    • Fonda says:

      Ditto, R. T.

  4. Hey, just another bump in the road. Still on track and moving forward. hugs, mar

    • morganlvr says:

I know, Mar. But I look at these horses and get SO sad. It is just so WRONG and no one seems to care. And it would be SO simple if the BLM really were who they say they are and cared about the horses. I guess that’s what gets me the most – doing it right would be EASIER than this! But no, for they serve a different Master.

  5. It speaks well for one’s character when one’s enemies are those who do evil. The Buddha said, “Virtue can never be destroyed, evil inevitably destroys itself”. In the end, the truth will set us all free. In the meantime, keep fighting for our horses. They are suffering unimaginable cruelty at the hands of our government and other unscrupulous people.

  6. Cindi says:

Everytime I see this, it motivates me to fight even harder for these animals. Whatever we do, WE CANNOT SHUT UP NOW! This cruelty has to end.

  7. Anna says:

    http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/info/newsroom/2006/02/ncnews24_corrals_reopen.html

yeah yeah and yeah; yeah I agree with everyone’s message?
did you know there is ANOTHER drag race scheduled by the BLM for the nevada desert this summer “500 mile long drag race? and they say the Mustangs wreck the environment ? no; man wrecks the environment; the wildlife Save the wilderness

message: I read here in 2006; 40+ Mustangs perished in the Corrals at Litchfield from Equine Strep..and the poor mustangs have to live in those same bacteria laden corrals…

as for the pix of the foals? esp. the front one where the Foal’s head is at a much lower angle than the rest of the body; this means this foal is “going…going…gone…rest in peace lil one!

    ps the lil foal with its head in the sand pit is KAPUT ! history; don’t anyone even think that lil foal is resting; not even close;

see how the BLM put straw under the foal? might as well have just dumped the foal in the middle of a desert…

to the foal a desert with the midnight sky would have been perferrable to the “concentration camp for Mustangs @ BLM…

i hate to talk like this; but Jesus; this is just so utterly evil…

TO RUN FOALS TO EXHAUSTION; LEAVE EM TO PERISH ON TOP OF SANDPITS or in this case the foal is IN A SANDPIT !

to the blm: YOUR DAYS ARE ALMOST OVER…TRUST ME…AW

  8. Anna says:

TO THE BLM I WILL SENDING THESE PIX TO THE US CONGRESS!

so you better start headin’ for the hills; because when that Judge down in “D.C. begins issuing those “supeonas; perjury

most likely; documents will have the BLM NV’s name on them!

(good thing I have all the names of the BLM’s officials and hundreds upon hundreds of pix of “blm overt animal abuse

the poor foal; just like ANOTHER lil oneday; not even a chance; ps you also elevate the head of a sick foal; you never let the foal’s head kind of like be stuck in a sand pit; the way the above pix of the 3 foals at Litchfield shows; God are these blm people stupid or what? are they acutal idiots? ya think PUTTING HAY UNDER A SICK FOAL WILL SAVE ITS LIFE
YOU SHOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS FOAL A VITAMIN B SHOT !
YOU DINGBAT IGNORAMUS FOOLS YOU ! YOU WILL be indicted FOR NOT PROVIDING SUSTENANCE TO LIVING FOALS

  9. Anna says:

don’t read this unless you are truly against the blm; thanks!
    pps i hate to say this: but if the above pix of the “3 Litchfield Foals is enlarged by pressing on the pix; and you look carefully; you should see;
    a. the foal on the left was lying flat out; but raised his head when pix taken you can tell by the straw on her face…
    b. the 2nd foal does not to be well either (none are nursing !
    c. but the 3rd foal; that is utterly absurd ! looks like the BLM actually dug a grave for the foal and then put the foal in…if not; how did the foal dig herself so far into the sandpits? did they dig a spot for the foal to die in the sand?

I think the blm prob. says; “good way to get rid of another foal…hey look at the mustang sand angel…ha ha ha

that is the way I picture the blm; extremely evil types…AW

summary looks like a manmade “grave for a mustang foal!

  10. Anna says:

PPPS And what is so stupid? the Mustangs don’t even have to be rounded up…there is nothing wrong with them…UNTIL they hit the BLM corrals then they begin to drop like flies

    AND THE UTTER IRONY IS

The BLM Vets do not know “jack…about Vitamins and Nutrients; for example; as I wrote to the blm many a time…

WHEN A FOAL GOES DOWN; The Vet. is supposed to ruch over and “give the Foal a VITAMIN B1 THIAMINE OR A VITAMIN B-COMPLEX SHOT; a Magneisum shot at the least

These Vitamins act like a catalyst (all vitamins are catalysts

AND THESE VITAMINS MOST OFTEN GET THE FOAL UP TO BEGIN NURSING OR DRINKING REPLACEMENT MILK/pellets

    yet the BLM USES NO VITAMINs; I read on the BLM Website; BLM HAS AN ELECTOLYTE PASTE THEY CAN USE on sick foals DO THEY THO no they don’t do jack rabbit crapola;
except “capture injure maim brand; very few get adopted!

STOP THE BLM! STOP THE BLM’S EQUINE MISMANAGEMENT

  11. Anna says:

A young foal was captured this morning with a severe injury to his front left foot that was pre-existing. The foal was also missing part of his right ear. His chances of survival in the wild were extremely slim. He arrived at the Litchfield corrals and was treated by the wranglers until the vet could arrive. The vet assessed his condition and recommended that the foal be euthanized. He was euthanized this afternoon. The foal was approximately two weeks old and was sorrel in color.

do you know if the Foal in pix above is this Sorrel foal ?

The foal was also missing part of his right ear…anne’s comment: OH NO NOT MISSING PART OF HIS EAR ?

wow a Foal who have missing ears GET SHOT BY BLM ?

A young foal was captured this morning with a severe injury to his front left foot that was pre-existing…

Preexisting…now how would the BLM know that ? OT: there is a cow living on a resuce in India; that walks on her knees; and she is the most beloved cow in the rescue…

In India; they do not “destroy animals due to minor physical

  12. Anna says:

    OT

I was watching a BBC news broadcast last week; about “Rhino Poaching; how a Rhino is destroyed just for the Rhino Horn:(an ageold ancient pagan myth thinks Rhino Horns are some type of special medicine; truth is: there in nothing in a horn…

anyway; The Refuge in Africa; the poorest nation on earth; had a “sick pen for Baby Rhino’s who’s mothers had been poached; (simliar to the BLM who Mothers have been “lost…)

anyway; INSIDE THE SICK PEN OF BABY RHINOCEROUS

The African Rhino Corral manager; HAD ACUTALLY FASHIONED FEEDING BOTTLES FOR MILK FOR THE RHINOS

out of big PLASTIC JUGS WITH a tube; and he would give the Baby Rhinos their milk replacement with a jug and milk

so I was just wondering; WHY WOULD THE POOREST NATION ON EARTH BE ABLE TO HAND FEED AND NURSE WITH MILK
BABY RHINOCEROUS; one of the most wild animals on earth

AND YET OUR OWN PITIFUL BLM OFFICIALS in the richest nation on EARTH; CANNOT EVEN FIND A PLASTIC NURSING BOTTLE and milk replacer FOR MUSTANGS THEY ORPHANED!

DUMB DINGBATS…SMART AFRICAN REFUGE CARETAKER? aw

    • Anna says:

oh and ps: you would not have believed how clean and spacious the Baby Rhino Pens in Africa were…

makes the BLM look like some delapitlated scum corrals…

  13. Anna says:

    OT II

I was watching the news on the flooding in the east etc.

I was watching how some rural farmers escaping the floods

were able to HARNESS THEIR 12 DONKEYS; load the Donkeys up with their belongings and these Donkey owners were able to escape the Floods using a team of about 12 harnessed Donkeys THE DONKEYS SAVED THE PEOPLES GOODS AND POSSIBLY THEIR LIVES…

Compare that the to Donkeys in the BLM dung crap Corrals

    • Anna says:

      ps and when the peoples of rural farmlands were escaping the rain floods with their teams of harnessed Donkeys; the people were not yelling; nor were the Donkeys running;

      The entire group was calmly and peaceably moving forward as a unifed group; amongst the debris to find refuge in the plateaus; donkey’s saving supplies like food;

compare to a nonsensical non essential mustang roundup!

  14. Anna says:

Does the BLM leave the Mustangs in the pastures standing out in “the rain; snow; sleet; hot sun; heat; and hail ?

    with no shelter whatsoever?

    Does the BLM leave Mustangs Foals out in the middle of nowhere in man made hilly billy type looking corrals;

where the Foals stand out in drenching rains; for days on end?
Do you think the Stangs like standing through pouring rains
